My First Academy Visit

    As mentioned in a previous post, I drove down to Greenville, SC today to purchase a MercMonitor for my boat. There is an Academy store there, and since I have never been in one, decided to check it out. I was impressed! Store was very clean, neat, and well merchandised. ( Grocery Merchandising was my career before I retired). I was actually thinking of picking up one of the H2O reels to try, but didn't find any. Was at the reel counter looking, but there were so many people in there buying guns and ammo, that all the sales folks were tied up. I picked up a Shimano Sienna spinning reel for $30 and some H2O crankbaits, a few jigs, and a spinner bait or 2. Managed to spend $75 before I left. Just wish we had one here in NC.
