I was watching the Missouri/Western Illinois game last night. I am a Mizzou fan. Western Illinois was leading the #14 team by a point with under a minute to go. WI had fought their hearts out all game. As WI was bringing up the ball, the ref made a terrible call right in front of the Mizzou bench. WI was bumped and forced out of bounds and the ref said he stepped on the sideline, which he did--with help from the Mizzou player. Missouri's coach immediately kneeled down and pointed to the sideline--then the turnover was called.

    1) the Mizzou coach knew his player had fouled
    2) the coach influenced the ref
    3) the call changed the game and Missouri won
    4) I lost a lot of respect for Missouri and theiir coach

Why do I bring this up? Because I love college ball but am tired of the big schools briniging in patsys and "homer" refs. Missouri should have won this game easily but had to resort to this to win. It happens to small schools all the time and the NCAA does nothing. DISGUSTING!!!
