Need Real Estate Question handeled,,

    A local broker called me up and asked If wife and I would be interested in a 1.5 acre with a fixer upper and 2 cmu garages. He said the owner was mailing in a signed contract and we should meet in 1 week. We went and looked at the property, but could not get in. So we waited the week out. Went in and still no paper work. I asked Steve what was going on and he said, just make an 'offer' I know the guy wants to sell. So I asked about the title search and he was a bit of a jerk and said Well you can certainly have one done 'after' you buy the property. So we left not to return. Never heard of this before. Now he calls this evening and asks the wife when we are going to get back to him... Got enough to do at this point and there are a lot of properties for sale.
