One of my passions....

Even back in my construction days of building custom homes, my favorite part was trimming them out, and installing any custom wood work. Now, years later, I love to still dabble in it here and there. Seems like someone is always asking us (Dad & I) if we can build this or that, that we havent built before. The challenge is cool, and sitting back when youre done and seeing the smile on the customer's face is priceless.

The last few things that we made, that we had never made before, was designing and building a custom oak/granite, mobile (on heavy duty caster that are hidden) grilling cart to house the biggest big green egg made, and a LOT of accessories:

and, a hand made custom plaque to honor a retiring Circuit Court Judge after 30+yrs. They wanted it out of 1" Cherry, and shaped like the county he served in:

My daughter-in-law bought a cheap ass table from Wally World to put books etc... on, for her 4th grade class room that she teaches. Its lasted about 2 weeks, and sagged so much it almost collapsed. She wanted me to make her something that would hold up.... just a simple table I threw together in a couple hours out of pine 2x6's, and rounded all the corners so the little rug rats wouldnt crack their heads on any sharp edges:
