Smallies are King - Blast From The Past

With all the talk about big fish going on, thought I would post a couple pictures of some big smallies I have been fortunate enough to catch. These are some pretty old pictures and not very good but believe you can see the size of the fish in them. These were all caught at Pickwick about 10 or 12 years ago and maybe longer. Owned a big custom built 16' jon boat with a 60 horse power tiller mariner on the back. Was fixed up like a bass boat, had tilt and trim, big front deck, 24 volt trolling motor and a 10 gallon gas tank. Use to run all over that big lake with that boat and was what I learned to fish the lake out of.

Caught both of these off the same spot in the same day.





Caught this one on a fluke in about 4' of water. Not sure you can see it, but had a big shad sticking out one side of the fishes mouth when I caught it. Pulled the shad out and was some where around 10" to 12" long. Was during the Fall right before Winter and fish were feeding pretty hard.
