So I'm reading about the oil spill

and the devistation to the people who make a living in the Gulf when I read this:

"It's all up in the air right now," said Jerry Perrin, who has harvested crabs and shrimp for 60 years in Louisiana's waters. "The government needs to start spending more money now."

Now I don't mean to make lite of the man's plight, but just when the he!! did the people start looking to the gooberment to spend money to fix your problems? :thinking: I always considered the people around here to be self sufficient. Just leave them alone and they'll be just fine. Has the media brainwashed them down the bayou as well?
