Whew!! Glad it's almost over

    Woke up Tues morning for work with a dry throat and a cough. Thought, no biggie since I felt fine. Worked all day, all was good. Coughed a little more on the drive home, but still felt fine. Got home, I threw on the chili I had made, had a bowl and a beer and hunkered down to watch TV. In 2 hours, I could not hold my head up, fever shot up to 102*, I was freezing but burning up! sitting in my recliner with a hoodie on, another coat on it and a boggan on my head! heat on the house at 70*, coughing was worse and worse! every joint ached! I was a blithering mess!! No NyQuil in the house or anything remotely strong as, but did find Alka Seltzer Cold and flu, tried that and was able to see again. Next day more of the same, went to Dr, said I had the flu, and an ear infection...:thinking: gave me an antibiotic and Tamiflu. Taken me 3 days, but just now getting some strength back. That chit is for the birds!! Glad to be back amongst the living again.
