26 rescued at Lake Norman

Six sail boats were caught in a storm, and capsized yesterday afternoon on Lake Norman in North Carolina. 26 people were rescued.

We have been having typical summer time afternoon pop-up thunder storms around Houston as well. Yesterday afternoon had a LOT of lightening in it, but didn't last long. Still, I wouldn't have wanted to be on the water. Reminded me of a short story I wrote several years back of a similar incident on the water while I was out in the Lazy Boy (my trollin' motor powered bass fishin' pedal boat. The name of the story is "Okay, I'm Gonna Die".
