??? about projection tv and color

    I have a 52 inch projection tv Qusar. It is about 10 years old now. My wife has been complaining about how dark some movies and shows are. If it is a night scene or inside scene sometimes you can not even see the picture. I have tried to adjust some settings and it makes no good. Is this a hint that it is on its way out
