Who went fishing today??

I almost chickened out this morning, dang that bed felt good and I was sleeping great when the buzzer went off. But, I sucked it up anyway and went. For some reason, Im not finding them on top that much this year. :thinking: But, Frog and Rat season is almost upon us here, so its all good.

Anyway, went to my hump today. Been on this same hump for a month now. It has shellbeds, milfoil and a few stumps on it and around it. Its inside a huge area that used to be an airstrip, and this hump is only about 50 X 50 yards wide and long, so its not that huge. Well, lately its been C-Rigged Lizards and Swimbaits. Today it was different. Chris got me to thinking about Swim Jigs from yesterday, so I thought I'd try what I had. I used a Strike King Swim Jig in Sexy Shad with a Zoom Pearl G-Tail Ringer trailer. Tried a few other things but they weren't wanting them just the Swim Jig. Only problem is, that these Swim Jigs have a light wire hook and at Guntersville, that ain't gonna take too well. I happen to land these today just on sheer talent :dancing_banana: or luck :thinking: But they were good ones and was glad I got the ones I did.


This is Ol Red Eye. Don't know what happened to her, but she was blind in that eye.



And the myth about women having big mouths, well, its true! :tooth:
She went 8.37 on the Rapala Scale.



Followed by this 6lber, 7 casts later.



And finally this 7.13lber. I had to literally fight with her in the boat and that was after I got her in!! Half my thumb is all scratched up! I may need Dixie to share some Vicodin with me. :Rolling:




Those were my 3 biggest ones. Did have a couple of the standard 3-4lbers, which pushed my best 5 to around 28+ pounds. Not a bad day at all. Considering I almost did not go. Glad I did tho.
