Bad Tourney Start This Year....

Well, I was boat number 32 this Saturday on Seminole. Everything starts out normal, no big hurry to get to my first spot so I cruise down the river to my spot.

I kill the big motor in the boat lane and troll over to the bedding area(s) and start throwing a speed worm. Catch a jack...:Mad:

About 7:30, I'm trolling around the sandy area and my trolling motor stops working completely...I pull the bow panel cover and check all connections and they are good. Pull the head on the trolling motor, it's all good.

Then I pull the male plug on the trolling motor wiring...It had a loose connection and melted where the jumper was...:Mad:

So my day was effectively over at 7:30, but my partner did catch two off the beds while we were drifting and I was working on the trolling motor...That place was loaded with beds, but oh well.

So I pull the trolling motor back up and idle out of the stump infested mine field I was in and only hit about 10 stumps on the way out...:Mad:

It took 25 lbs to win with 2nd and 3rd each having 24 lbs.

I bought a new plug that afternoon from the local marine store and got bent over with the price, but I had to have it.

Replaced the plug and went to Hooch at about 3:30. Missed two good ones and landed a 6 lb'er. So the day ended better than it started.
