    I was reading the owner's manual on our new Jeep. It has a black box that gathers data at the time of a crash. It records your previous acceleration, speed at impact, when the brakes were applied, etc. It also has a disclaimer that states the gathered information can be gotten and used by investigative authorities in criiminal proceedings. I'll bet the insurance carriers can get the info also. I think this s---s. You can bet the insurance companies will use it against you. I wonder if it can be legally disabled?
