Bitten by a Bow

Be going to to work in a little while. Get a couple hours sleep before then. But, I wanted to fill you in about how things are for me lately. I appreciate all the IMs and checking in on me.

It's been a little rough, but busy. Enough busy to keep my mind off the negatives anyway. Done a few orders here and there and it's helping. On here, I have activated a Skimlinks account and you will see some things look different every now and then. Ex. On the Kayak thread, you might see in some posts a word or 2 in blue. It's an affiliated marketing tool for me where the system automatically affiliates me with a potential product or manufacturer.

On one note, life hasn't been too bad. Kinda lonesome, but I just don't think I'm ready for dating yet. Really not interested in gaining another relationship or anything, but I do miss it.

Recently I bought a Stoeger M 3500 in Max4 pattern, as I am looking forward to some wing shooting this fall and duck hunting in the winter. Just trying to look at this life now as a new adventure. Right now, surprisingly, I am on a Denied status for a gun sale. I recently wanted to purchase a handgun and was Denied. Did an appeal and was still denied based on a arest I had 24 years ago, back when I was young and stupid. Won't say here what it was, so let's say it was a paper crime having to do with a bad check. I have bought 3 firearms since then so do not know why it's denying me now, I mean, I do, but why now? But, I'll get it resolved in time and hope to be shooting soon. Times a re a little rough now, money wise but I am making it ok. Just trying to get the hang of doing everything myself. Always had Doc taking care of the money stuff and I guess I should have listened to her more. But, she's helping me out and giving me words of encouragement and that means a lot. Thank you Doc.

Been thinking of some ways to get my income level up a notch or 2 and I have big plans, but they will take a few months to materialize, but some will be here with a name change and different forum set up. Just want to expand by being a little smaller and grow from there. Right now, we have 4 wonderful sponsors and things are already looking up. I appreciate all of them, Calvin, Randy, Doc Irv and Eric. Thanks for being here and I hope it's a long standing deal with all of us here. So, y'all give these guys as much support as you can.

This weekend, my cable and internet have been down and I go to Hooters to bum their free wi-fi to keep up with stuff. I guess having no TV has been somewhat of a godsend. I've done so much thinking!! :tooth::thinking: I have this friend on a social media page and she has been an inspiration to me. Other than the fact that she's drop dead gorgeous, lives in another state and I have probably a snowballs chance in Guam of ever winning her heart, but she is an excellent bow shooter/hunter. She uses a Matthews Jewel bow and knows what there is to know about shooting bows. I have always kind of shunned bow shooting, but I guess with a wife, house and fishing, it was enough for me. But, now I'm counting it as a new adventure and it really looks fun. I think I will look deeper into this and I'm contemplating going to a archery in Tuscon to get learned the right way and get a instructor certification. Maybe start a biz teaching bow shooting. What y'all think? I'll get more in depth later on, but do y'all think there is a clientele for bow instruction? I've looked and the salaries are anywhere between 26 and 42k. A year. If I can do half those with Academy, I'll be happy. I just think I have the ability at some skills and want to enhance them and learn to teach them to others.
