Buzzbait fishing

    Here is a little something that may help out your buzzbait fishing! First do not get to far away from the bank when using a buzzbait. A accurate cast towards a dock or a stump is very inportant. If you are way off the bank you might not get that lure presentation that you want. Second I use a 1/4 oz. buzzbait with a longer wire shaft that we make. Most of the time the hook is down in the mouth so that if it would come loose,you have a few more inches to rehook in there. Third reel that lure VERY,VERY slow. Just keep it moving on the water. Not fast. Slower the better. Fourth keep your rod up at about a 2 oclock position and as you reel the lure in lower your rod . A bass will follow that slow moving buzzbait all the way to the boat and hit it right when your about to take it out of the water. Be careful. Be alert. Also, a little something. Most all of the bigger bass I have caught in the last 15 or so yrs. of buzzbaiting have hit between 1 and 3 PM. in the afternoon. YEP. It does not matter if it is cloudy or sunny.
