Cape Fear River

    Just Piddling .

    Droopy, me and the boy fished with my uncle on the Cape Fear river this morning. This was my first time going there. The water looked like tea and was only about 50 yards wide as it snaked through the banks. Every spot looked like a great place to fish. We only fished for a few hours before the rain started. With my boy being with us, we decided to go ahead and call it a day which was a good idea, since it started to pour as we got to the ramp. This is a tidal river and we were lucky enough that the water was still up when we decided to quit. Didn't catch many, but these were some good fighting largemouths that had the darkest green pattern.

    BTW- you'll have to ask Droopy about the tree limb he set the hook on. All I know is I have a lump on my head and a cut on my nose because of it :doh:
