Census

    Thought I would let everybody know what is going on and what I will be doing. I got hired on at the bottom of the totum pole. I am what is called an Enumerator. Will be going door to door doing the Census. Project is suppose to last about 2 months. Their are 7 of us in my little group and we are assigned a pretty big area way out in the country. The Crew Leader is a cute young lady in her middle 30's. Pay is not the greatest but not bad either when you consider all the down time we get paid for and all the driving we get paid for including a pretty healthy mileage reimbursement. I get paid including mileage from the time I leave my house every day until the time I walk in my door every day. The place I am going to school and will be working every day, is about an hour and about 40 miles from my house. Good thing about this job, it is a Government posiition and I am now considered a government employee. Means I can apply for other jobs within the system and will get first shot over somebody that is not. Was told today that their are full time openings with the census department and guess I will look into some of those first here in the next few weeks.

    Anyway, in a nut shell that is about it although a lot more to it than most people realize !!
