China, the South China Sea and Russia

While we were fighting in the middle east, China was building strength. In the late 1990's, China threatened to take Taiwan. Clinton sent 7 carriers into the straits and said, "Try it!". China backed down but decided they had to own the South China Sea. While we drained our strength in Iraq, China stole designs or built new weapons for themselves. We can no longer send our carriers into the South China Sea during a war with China. They took it and they will keep it.
We are in a deep hole between Russia and China. They recently signed a military and economic pact. The only enemy strong enough to defeat them individually is the US. Together, we can't win. They can't take the continental US but they can cut our power and influence greatly. We need to stop being a policeman to the world and put that money into research and defense.
I ask the people who read this post to think strategically on world events. Look at each world crisis in the view of, "How does this affect the US". World events and politics becomes clearer when we do.
