Computer Help

    For some time, everytime I try to watch a video from Utube, or anywhere for that matter, it plays for a few seconds, stops for a few seconds, plays a few seconds, stops a few, on and on until the end of the video. After I have gone through the whole thing once, it plays fine the second time. I didn't think too much about it until I noticed on my wife's laptop, which is almost identical to mine, plays fine the first time. Any ideas on this?
