DirecTV Rant...

anybody else getting fed up with being raped by DirecTV? I received an email yesterday telling me my service plan was going up $2/month. Now, while $2/month is going to bankrupt me, if you add that to the increase in my bill for additional receivers etc... a couple months ago.... it means my bill has went up 10% in the last 2 months. Thats absurd. Big companies do shyt like this all the time to force people to do, what they want them to. So, I can either pay the increased price or drop my coverage.... which is what they want. They "say" the increase is to cover a new "free equipment upgrade every 2 years".... program. Problem is, you have to do like a cell company now, and sign a new 2yr contract to get that new equipment. Plus, something smells damn fishy here. Read the fine print of their ad. Do we really think DirecTV is going to give new equipment to their customers every 2yrs? That would be like your cell company GIVING you a new, top of the line phone, every 2yrs. They would go bankrupt. There are changes coming. I dont know what, but mark my words.... they are coming. With Sprint trying to buy Dish Network, there is no telling what these satellite companies are going to try to do. Me? Im not paying extra anymore to protect my equipment, or pay extra to record channels that I already pay to watch.... but cant. I pay for over 200 channels, but due to DirecTV's control over their equipment and how it is setup, I can only watch 1 channel.... and cannot record any other channel (that Ive already paid for) without paying them more money. Ill go back to free, OTA HD out of St Louis, and watch other stuff for free online.... before I keep paying them to rape me.
