Disgusted with pro football

The last few years I have watched fewer games each year. I thought the NFL was turning into a thug league much like the NBA. I used to like and watch that also. Each year more cheap shots, more semi educated players who think they are demi-gods and owners who don't care about the players or fans. A player scores a touchdown and goes into a narssistic dance, another makes a tackle and has to stand and preen to the crowd. Today was my last day watching pro ball. Sam Bradford, the Ram's qb, was heading out of bounds when he was hit at the last moment. He was hit inches inbounds, so the hit was legal. But, it didn't have to be done. Bradford is writhing on the ground in pain and agony from a busted knee and the Carolina player stood 3 foot from him, raised his arms to the sky and preened to the crowd about what he had done. Pure self adoration and disrepect to the injured player. I looked at that and knew I was through with the NFL. A good game turned into thug ball.
