Dixie, I mighta figured out your problem

    with not being able to steer that 36v troller. Ours is a 24v 80lb thrust and I've never had a problem steering it at full speed. Last week somebody (me :doh:) forgot to stow the TM before taking off. Once the bow came down we got soaked and I jumped up and stowed it. This is not the first time it has happened :head_on_wall:, so no big deal. Well today had no problems steering till we go to move to the other side of a neck and I rolled it up to full speed and it was all I could do to steer it. When I stowed it, I looked and noticed a slight bow in the shaft. Not much at all, but just a little.

    When we had the 36 volt I never had a problem steering. It would about throw you out of the boat if you forgot it was on high, but never was hard to steer. So you might want to look at the shaft and make sure it is not bent.
