Dog Chorus

I fell asleep in my recliner last night. About 2 am., one of the Redbone hounds next door starts baying, He had smelled a rabbit and his baying woke up his brother Redbone. Two baying Redbone will awake an entire neighborhood. They must have chased the rabbit to the fence line where it squeezed through to the next yard. That, in turn, got the Min Pins going in that yard. Within a minute, every dog within hearing distance started barking. As I listened, with high pitch barking and low pitch baying seemingly coming from everywhere, it was like a chorus of dogs. During this time, my Tomcat, who was sleeping, opened one eye, yawned, gave me his look that says, REALLY!, and went back to sleep. What a smart cat.
