First cook on my stick burner

    Smoked three racks of beef ribs. Was very happy with the result. My first bite made me think this was barbecue. It was different from what I did on the WSM. The smoke ring was unreal, unlike anything I've ever gotten from the WSM, on any cut of meat.

    But the stick burner took a lot of babysitting. Had to stay with it for the entire 6 hour cook, could not take my eyes off the temp gauges for very long. Constantly adjusting the firebox door, vent , or adding wood.

    Here's pics of two beef rib cooks, one was from last February and the other yesterday, don't think I need to say which was which .
