First money of the year

had a small tourney on Nickajack this weekend and it was tough.. out of 33 boats 23 were skunked. Our first spot we wanted to go is a popular community area and with 16 boats headed that way we had a life jacket blow out and had to turn around. figured we lost our spot but amazingly we were the only boat that went back there... We stayed there for 4 hours and had one bite a nice fat female going 5.74 that fell for the ol XR50.. we had 2 other fish all day both shorts.. We figured we had no chance but when getting back to the dock it was brutal for everyone.. we got 4th and big fish and won little over 200 bucks:dancing_banana:
Spring time weather is here but the water is way behind still seeing temps from 40-44 last year this time it was well over 50.. Things should get better soon
