I've been eyein springer pellets guns for a while and while talking about them with a friend of mine he tells me that he has one I can have free. He didnt remember what kind but he had only fired it twice. Woo-HOO score!
Said friend dropped it off yesterday with a scope(3-9X32) , rings the whole works even a tin of
    .177 lead pellets. Woo-Hoo!
Its a Daisy Powerline 1000. I look it up in the net and its 79-99 brand new, no biggie it will kill tree rats. :rock_on:

Fast forward 2 hours and its time to try this thing out. I mounted the scope and rings just like I would have on any 22 and headed outside for a little "Range time"
I put up a large cardboard target with some hand drawn targets @10yrds.
Fired 3 rds and I was 2in low and 3in right from the center of a 6in shot group. WTF?
I make an small adjustment to the scope about half way. = 5ins low and 4in right again with a 6in shot group. Well maybe I messed up and adjusted the wrong way, I dont thing I did but WTF.
Make another adjustment and fire 3rds. Now I'm 1in low and 6in left! WOW WTH is this? again with a 6-7inch shot group. Arrrrggggggghhhhhhh.
    Now I'm Pizzed!

I tear the scope off and check mounts and remount with the screws even tighter.
    Fire 3rds. Again 3in low and now 4in left with a 5-6in shot group. :head_on_wall: :head_on_wall:
Go back in house a got one of my 22's and fired 5rds at my target. 1/2 shot group about 1/2in high, so I know it anit me.
Rip the scope of and try the cheap "Iron sights"(plastic). 3rds 2in high and dead on with a 3-4in shot group. I made a small adjustment to the open sight and the best I can get thing to shoot is a 3-4in group.
WOW What a hunk of JUNK! There no way in hell this thing will ever be able to hit a tree rat at 20yds.
