football coaches question?

the game has changed some since I played in the no helmut days:tooth: I've coached high school baseball and was a offensive co-ordinator in football. I called the plays and most of the time the head coach had no oidea what I was calling.Occassionally he'd want a certain play run but 99% of the time it was my call. Pete Carroll is taking the heat for the call to end the Super Bowl but I'm wondering if he just isn't falling on the sword for his OC :thinking: Russel Wilson also could have audibled.So do you think the head coaches still call the plays ? I know Belichick gets involved with the defense some but let's his DC do most of the calling.I suppose I could end with, the players said they were well prepared and had practiced for that scenario!! Or does that mean they cheated:stirthepot:
