Went to HR this morning. Got in the water around 9ish. Caught my first fish around 10. It was like 16 3/4" ( will post pic later). Managed 7 or 8 more in the boat. Mostly 12 to 14". Frustrating part is I lost 6 or 7 fish today. All but 1 were on crankbaits. I've never lost that many fish in one day before. I lost one fish that would have weighed 4 to 6 lbs. I had this fish up next to the boat, so close that I could see him clearly , 3 different times. Each time he dived under the boat. The last time, he got wrapped around the trolling motor and broke off. Good news: after he broke off, and after I finished cussing and beating my rod on the water, I sat down to tie on another crank bait, looked out and saw my bait floating in the water. At least I didn't lose my magic "Thug".
