Got a scare last night

    I woke up last night and my feet and calves were extremely swollen. I was thinking it may be blood clots and called the Dr. today. I spent most of the morning getting tested. They did an ultrasound of the veins in both legs and said no blood clots. I seems that lower lumbar surgury affects the lymph system which controls body water. I have edema or swelling in both legs. They said it was not life threatening and the meds should treat it wiithin a week. Guess I'll keep my feet up around the house this week because my feet are extremely swollen and I can't get a damn shoe or sock on. At least I don't have blood clots. They can kill you.
