Got to thinking after all the posts about stolen gear

How do u guys prove to the insurance company what u have. I use a new chip and pull out all of my stuff and put it on the front deck of the boat. I shoot a ton of pixs from lots of angels. I then put the chip in my gun vault. Would this work for the insurance company?
