Gulf oil Leak

I know this is old but I haven't heard this but 1 time and it was on 60 Mins right after the oil derrick blew up. This guy being interviewed said he was on the derrick and was involved with the electronics on the derrick that went South(blewop & sank). He said the drillers were changing the mud, drill pipe lubricate oil, in the blowout preventer. The drill was off to do this procedure. Some how the drill was turned on for several mins. without any lubricant in the blowout preventer assembly. The drill was quickly turned off and this person being interviewed said there were people on the derrick that wanted to check the blowout preventer for possible damage but those in control said everything would be ok and to drill on. They did and when checking the lubricate mud bits of rubber were found in the mud. they were told to drill on and they did. This person interviewed said methane gas leaked up the pipe and before the electric generaters could be shut down and then the seals in the blowout preventer could be replaced everything exploded and fire and sinking and what we have know. I haven't heard or seen anything like this story since seeing it on that news show right after the leak hit the news on TV.
