help!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I just had a pop up thingy that told me i was getting hit with a high alert virus. This is not my anti virus system. It says it is from my personal scanner which i guess is on my computer. when i hit erase it comes up as :do you trust the program you are using? if so click okay to continue: i dont know if this is ok to do or not to do. so i am running my anti virus now to see if anything comes up. What should i do about the pop up???
    Its not really a pop up its more like a new tab.
