I've been thinking about this for quite a while, and I heard Limbaugh talk about it yesterday. Is pessimism a natural human reaction?

We live in the greatest country in mankind's history - we are the freest, wealthiest, and most diverse society on Earth... Why is everyone so unhappy? I cut my political teeth listening and watching St. Ronnie, and optimism was a critical part of his personality. Are we as Americans taking too much for granted with all of the blessings we have?

All I have to do is look at the rest of the world to see that the answer is yes - ask yourself if you would choose to live in any other country on Earth. I guess we just don't realize how good we have it, and the politicians are busy trying to convince us that we and life here are bad... If I want to drive across the country, no papers are needed. If I want to shoot a gun, I can do so... I can fish, worship, eat, surf the internet, etc. virtually unhindered.

It's easier to be pessimistic than optimistic - just look at the election as a wake up call from the American public. We have the power to enact true and lasting change. Personally, I feel a whole lot better about our future than I did a year ago, and you just need to have the faith and courage to stay the optimistic course. We are Americans, and we will persevere.:patriot:

I sincerely am humbled and thankful that I live here, and I would not trade places with anyone else - -please take a moment and reflect on your situation. We are truly blessed here, and I hope that you can appreciate that fact. I will continue to be optimistic, and I hope you join in.
