If not us, then who?

I look at the world and see problems for the US in every direction. If we don't do intelligence; if we don't do pre-emptive strikes; if we let our guard down---who will protect us? France? Germany? Brazil? The point is that no one will protect US interests except the US. Other countries count on us to protect them. Japan, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, Israel and all the others. Yet, only Britain has truly helped us and the others turn away and let us do the dirty work. If they were truly allies, they would stand by us. Instead, they are only concerned with THEIR economies, THEIR citizens, THEIR goals as a nation. THEIR citizens get into trouble in the middle east, they turn to the US to free them or expedite their release. So, are they allies to be trusted or do we do our due diligence to make sure their concerns are not detremental to our concerns. I would have a problem if we easedropped on reliable allies, but these countries just using us, screw them and their outrage. By the way, while I was working, France, Germany and several others were caught spying on us. We slapped their hands in private and didn't embarrass them. NSA is chartered to do exactly what it did. That is to provide world wide electronic survellience for real and POTENTIAL threats to the US from OUTSIDE interests. They do that and they do it better than anyone else in the world.
