If you own an oil burner....

You know how expensive the fuel/oil filters are. I about shyt when I went into my local NAPA, and they told me it was $26 + tax for the NAPA fuel filter (made by WIX) for my Cummins. I told him he would have to do a hell of a lot better than that, or I would take my business online. Im all for supporting local businesses, but when they try to azzrape me and charge me double.... well, Homey dont play that game. I needed the filter, so I bought it at a "greatly reduced price" (according to him) of $21 + tax.

Since I change the oil filter every 4K, and the fuel filter every 6K.... I was looking to stock up tonight with enough to last awhile. I just ordered 6 WIX oil filters and 4 WIX fuel filters (same fuel filter NAPA sells for $26) and paid $91 for all 10 filters shipped to my door. Again, thats half price... actually less than half price if you figure Id have to pay sales tax if purchased locally. Like I said, Im all for shopping local, but Im not paying over 5% - 10% more (maybe more if I know the person) over what I can get it for elsewhere.

Anyway... I looked on Rock Auto, and Fleet Filter's site... and in the long run, Filter1 was the cheapest.... at least on the filters I needed. Fleet Filter was $9 cheaper on the filters, but charged almost $20 S&H, which made them a little over $10 than Filter1, who offers free shipping on all orders over $50. Anyway.... here is the link.
