My tip.

    Hi guys, I've been reading through the tips pages and picked up a couple of good ideas so I will share one of my best tips with you. I use this to catch zander (walleye) in a deep canal with loads of debris on the bottom. There is no reason why this couldn't work for bass where you have similar problems with keeping the hooks away from the bottom. I use a Rapala lipless clackin rap. The lure is nose heavy and will stand up with its backside clear of the bottom. Remove the bottom hook and put this one on the back leaving just one hook on. This will stand clear of the bottom and can be fished slowly with the ability to just stop. It gives the benefits of fishing with a rattlin crankbait with the presentation of a jig. I will be very interested if any of you guys use this to good effect...hopefully to win big.
