NFL hypocricy

    The NFL is so concerned about protecting the QB that they go overboard with the roughing penalties and fines, but yet seems ok with a team administering pain killers so a QB can re-enter a game with a broken rib and punctured lung. Does this seem wrong to anybody else?

    While a CT scan revealed only one fracture to Tony Romo's ribs, the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback also has been diagnosed with a punctured lung.

    Romo suffered the injury when Niners linebacker Ahmad Brooks hit him on a 25-yard completion to tight end Jason Witten on the game's third play. Romo managed to get through the first half but missed all but 37 seconds of the third quarter as the medical staff waited for pain-killing medicine to take effect.
