After the heavy storms this morning and early afternoon, I finally got to fish. The weather looked iffy so I trolled to the back of the cove and went old school fishing. The shad had moved to the back to feed on loose algae and the bass came to feed on the shad and worms and things washed in around the ramp. I used a 4 in. worm and a small tube on spinning gear. I pitched to the ramp and let the water stream wash the lure into the lake. The bass were waiting at the foot of the ramp in 18 in. of water. Absolutely annilhilated the lure. Just as much fun to catch them that way on spinning gear as it was as a kid. I caught sixteen 1 to 2 lb. fish in an hour. No giants but a lot of fun.
