Oooh was I mad

    Took a Kohler engine block with a scored wall to an engine machine shop a while back to have it bored out. It had already been bored .010 over by someone before I got it. Max you can go is .030 so he checked it out and said another .020 would clean it up no problem. Ordered the piston ($165 from Kohler) and took it to him. Calls back a week later and says it didn't clean it up, going to have to put a liner in it ($125) and should take another week. Calls last night when I was at work and said it is finally done (the whole deal took over 5 weeks from the time I dropped it off). So now for a stock piston and a liner the bill came to $560 f'n dollars. :shocked: He told me in the beginning he gets between $80-100 to bore out a cylinder. I was polite when I picked it up but kept questioning his price and he just kept walking away from me. He kept telling me I was "unappreciative". :head_on_wall:
