Proud of the boy

So we have to have a large bit of orthodontic work done on our son, he has an under bite and a double cross bite. 1st he will need a palate expander for approximately 6 months, us expanding it once a day for a month then it sits the rest of the time. Then he will need braces for a couple years. Assuming this all works and it may not and that then gets into surgery after he is 18 blah blah blah.

Now the funny part, wife emails me last night that for the year book superlatives, best dressed, best hair, etc, our son ( for his class and there are 5 classes) was voted best smile. It means absolutely nothing to him, to us though it means the world. We always worry with him being autistic that kids will take advantage of or make fun of him, but apparently hes quite popular, even with the "tough kids" as his teacher put it.

He is also on the verge of earning Tenderfoot in Boyscouts and soon we will start working on his 2nd class rank.
