Rain

It rained so much and so hard the last 2 days I only fished about an hour each day. Thursday afternoon and night severe thunder storms trained through about ever .5 hour. Must of had 8-10 severe storms roll through with hail up to golf ball size. My boat is on a air lift in a 14 X 32 ft. covered stall. The boat is all the way to the center walkway of the dock. The rain had blown straight in and my boat was absolutely soaked. First time that has happened sitting in the dock. A big front came in last night so the fishing will be cold and slow today.

The bass fishing wasn't good during this weather so I catfished for an hour each day. I caught 2 blue cats about 8 lbs., a 5 lb. flathead, and 3 channels about 3 lbs. Had some pretty good eating last night.

I was putting in gas at the marina when a old guy came in to fill up. He was there about 2 min. when another rig came in with 2 fishermen. They started beating on the the older guy and the marina owner and I stopped it. The 2 guys got in their boat and left while we were helping the old guy get up. He said he was fishing a spot for about 5 min. when the other boat came up and said he was fishing their tourney spot. He landed the 4 pounder he had on and left to get gas. He said he hadn't even said anything to the guys. The marina owner phoned the incedent to the water patrol with their description and boat number. I hope the old guy prosecutes them. A guy gets beat up over a 4 lb. bass? WTF
