Don't know about you guys, but I love football. And growing up in the 70s and 80s, I emulated this guy. Some say he was dirty and mean, I say he just played hard football. He had a good heart off the field and it was never reported by the press because they always felt bad and sorry for Darryl Stingley and what happened to him. It was oart of the game and Darryl's family never got that. Jack suffered too after retiring, and the media never went there. Only reporting it waay after it happened, as if the media was trying to say..."Good for him!, after what he did to Stingley, he deserves that!"

I liked him. I enjoyed watching him play and I respected his game. Even met him once in Atlanta in 1989 while he was shopping at where it is now called the Underground. Can't remember what it was then. But, he was gracious and kind and spoke with a low voice. Ohio State lost a good Buckeye today. :innocent0001::innocent0001:
