Scared the heck out of me.

Went to the dock to go fishing at 430 this morning. My boat is on an air lift. I went to put a couple of water bottles in the boat and a river otter was staring at me. I almost fell backwards off the dock. He dived from the rear deck into the water and was gone. No damage to the boat. That got my pulse going pretty good. My complex is 42 acres with lots of open and green space. We get more critters here than anywhere on the lake. The coons can keep you from sleeping as they try to break into the trash containers.
