Shooting in Combat

    To go along with Piddlin's excellent post on private gun ownership.

    In initial combat only 7 out of 10 will fire his weapon. In subsequent combat 9 of 10 will fire. 1 will never fire his weapon. This is another reason for having combat trained veterans to call on.
    If the U.S. calls back vets and forms a force, all will be able to fire in combat. An unbloodied enemy will only have 7 of 10 initially effecive. If both forces have 1,000,000 soldiers,the enemy in essence is fighting with 700,000 who are new to combat.

    This is part of the reason leaders like Napoleon and Hitler were so successful at the beginning. It took time for thier enemies to combat train up troops.

    Never let politicians take away your weapons.
