Short Arm Spinner Baits

    I use short arm spinners mostly around bluffs ledges and drops both during the day and at night. During the day I
    use 1/2-3/4 oz. short arms with nickle Indiana wheels. At night I use 3/4-1 oz. short arms with black heads , black skirts and black or dark red Colorado wheels. I parallel the bluffs and cast in front of me as far as I can. I let the spinner helicopter down to the level of the baitfish and slowly retrieve. GREAT lure for big Spots on the drop and largemouth on the retrieve. I never use a trailer with a short arm. You can buy short arms but I usually cut down a long arm spinner and change out the wheel.

    For you younger guys: a wheel is what us old guys call spinnerbait blades.
