Son of a bi.....

So Im cleaning up the kitchen after making dinner, wife isnt home yet, but soon to be, washing a few dishes, finish up. Turn the cold water off, reach over to turn off the hot water, whole damn faucet handle comes off in my hand. Hot water spraying everywhere, I grab a pot that is in the dish drain, put it over the geyser of water coming out of the faucet. Run down stairs and shut the water off. Come back from the basement, water everywhere. About the time I get into cleaning it, guess who walks through the door. We get it all cleaned up, shut valves off under the sink, back to the basement, turn the main water line back on. Come to find out the nut that holds the entire piece together busted apart. Damn cheap pot metal fittings. Looks like its off to HD or Lowes tomorrow to either get a replacement part or a new faucet.
