Steerig sticking

    How do I keep my Teleflex steering from sticking. If I let it set for a month or so, the steering cable sticks to the point of grabbing the motor itself and working it loose. I know I can grease the rod near the engine but thats not what I think is sticking is there a way to lube the cable itself. AND NO USING THE BOAT MORE IS NOT THE ANSWER DD nor is replacing it at the moment!!!
