The last several trips I've made to the Hooch have been really good with several 5lb, 6 lb and larger fish being caught.

What is weird is how shallow the fish have been. I've caught a 5lb and a 4lb fish in literally 6" of water. You can literally go down a bank sight fishing and flip a senko or worm over at them and catch them, much like a spring/bed pattern.

Any idea why they would be holding in such shallow water during the summer?

I know river fish typically aren't deep anyway, but they are really shallow now.
