The Box Part II

    When I retired, I decided to tell my friends what I did for a living. It was a mistake I have come to regret doing. As a mentor told me long ago, "you can tell people but no one will believe you anyway". My very best friend became upset. He was like a brother. We did everything together and our birthdays were a day apart. He was also my tennis partner and we played national level doubles tourneys for 30 yrs. Tennis was also one of the reasons I stopped tourney fishing. He got so upset he wouldn't answer my phone calls, email--anything. The box was from him. Our birthdays are coming up and it was a peace offering from him. I hope you folks have close friends. I am much happier having him back as a brother then having a case of fishing line. I took me thinking awhile before I wrote this. I thought our friendship was pretty much doomed.
