The future of Oscar Custom Baits

    I have been painting baits full time for the last 2 years. My customer base has grown way bigger than I ever thought it would be and I stay pretty busy most of the time. I have been working the last month and a half 12-14 hours a day to keep things going and keep my turnaround time to a minimum and produce the maximum amount of profit and sales I can. Still I'm short of what it takes to keep everything paid. It is just not possible for me to do anymore than I am doing right now.

    I have came to the conclusion that it is not a good way for me to make a living. It's a great hobby and I really enjoy the people I have met along the way. I just can't produce enough baits to turn a profit big enough to support the business. Uncle Sam is killing me as he is all small business's and something has to change.

    Come this spring I am going to have to go to work some where and make my bait business a spare time income once again. I don't plan to ever quit painting baits but it may take me longer to turn them than it has in the past.
