Travel Alert

    The threat is real if you are in europe. Greece and Italy in particular. The private intel firms are really putting out the alerts for Athens, Rome, Paris,and Naples. If you are heading to one of these cities, let me know and I will try get more info for you.

    Some tips:
    1) Stay in major hotels in populated areas. Don't separate yourself from the crowd.
    2) Don't wander into areas with no lighting at night.
    3) Be aware of your surroundings and look to see if you are being followed.
    4) Don't draw attention to yourself.
    5) Don't say you are from the US.
    6) Know the local word for HELP.

    Few people in foreign countries will aid you if you are in trouble---you are the "Ugly American" in most countries.
    Weapons are illegal in most countries. Carry a cane, sharp pointed nail file, or a long 3-4 in. hat pin for security.
